<br />MINUTES <br />OF A MEETING OF <br />LAKEWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />AUDITORIUM <br />February 5, 2024 <br />Regular meeting of the Lakewood City Council called to order at 7:35 PM by President Kepple. <br />**** <br />Present: Councilmembers Marx, Baker, Shachner, Kepple, Bullock, Strebig, Rader. <br />Also Present: Mayor George, Law Director Vargo, Fire Chief Dunphy, Public Works Director <br />Gordon, Planning Director Leininger, Finance Director Rancatore, Police Chief Fischer, Human <br />Services Director Berry,and Council Staff. <br />**** <br />Motion by President Kepple, seconded by Vice President Shachner, to approve the minutes of <br />th <br />the January 16, 2024, General Meeting without the necessity of a reading. All in favor. Motion <br />passed. Minutes approved. <br />Without objection, President Kepple moved agenda items 11, 12, 13, 10, 15, and 16 to the top of <br />the agenda. <br /> ***OLD BUSINESS*** <br />1.ORDINANCE 01-2024 - AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take <br />effect and be in force at the earliest period allowed by law, to approve the editing and <br />inclusion of certain ordinances as parts of the various component codes of the Codified <br />st <br />Ordinances and to provide for the publication of such new matter. (1 <br /> read 1/16/24) (pg. 1) <br />Motion by President Kepple, seconded by Vice President Shachner, to defer Ordinance 01-2024. <br />All in favor. Motion passed.
