<br /> ORDINANC}t~ NO. 1136 By Mr. stevens <br />AN ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor to enter inte a oontract for pro- <br />viding means fer dispesing .of garbage and refuse matters, and 4e- <br />elaring an emergenoy. <br />WHEREAS, an emergenoy exists for the immediate preservation of public <br />health and property, arising from the necessity for immediately pro- <br />viding means fer disposing .of garbage and refuse matters, new there- <br />fore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL of the City of Lakewood, state of Ohio , <br />twe~thirds of all members thereto ooncurring: <br />Section 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter <br />into a contract in the manner provided by law for providing means <br />for disposing ..01' garbagè and refuse matters. and to expend for such ìI <br />purpose a sum of money not exceeding $15,000.00, payable from the <br />Service }'und. <br />Section 2: T~t this erdinanoe is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reaSons set forth in the preamble hereof, and there- <br />fore effective forthwith and at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />Adopted: <br /> E.
