ORDI.~ANOE N0~ 1~97 By Mr. Gormsen ',.N ORDINANCE determining to procee~ with, a~d levying and assessing:~ special ~ax to pay the cost and expense of. improving Maile Av~nu? ~rom Owego Court to.Riverside ROad by constructing sewer main of vmtrmfled sewer pipe therein with necessary manholes, catchbasins, curb connections, a~d other appurtenances incidental thereto, and aUthorizing the Mayor and Director of Finance to issue bondsin the sum of $2,320.00 in anticipation of said tax to provide a fund to pay the portion of the cost and expense ef said improvement ~or which said special tax is levied. BE IT ORDAINED by the council of the City Of Lakewood, State of Ohio~ three-f~urths of all members thereof concurring: Section 1~ . ~ ~, _That xt is hereby determined ~ proceed with the improve- ment of Maile Avenue from O~ego Oourt to mvereide Road by constructing sewer ~ain of vitrified sewer pipe therein with necessary manholes, catchbasins, curb connections, and other appurtenances incidental thereto in accordance With ResolUtiOn~No,.1998 passed April 3, 1922 and in accords, nce with plans, specifications, e~timst~s and profiles here- tofore approved and now on file in the office of the Director of Public Works. Section 2: That all claims for d~mages resulting from said improve.~. men~ ,shall be judicially inquired into after ~he completion thereof, and that the Directo~ ,of Public Works be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into contract for s~.id improvement in the manner provided by law, which improvement, in accordance with Article Section 16 of the Charter'has been estimated by the Director of Public Works to hsve a life of 20 years. ~ection 3: That for the purpese o~' paying the cost and expense of said mmprovement there is hereby levied znd assessed a special tax upon t~e several lots and parcels of l~.nd designeted in and in accordance with Estimated Assessment No. $91 as made for that purpose by the Dirscto~ of Finance and recommended to this Council by the Board of Rev~.sion ~f Assessments, ~S~id estin~,ted assessment was made On the basis of special benefits conferred by said improvement on the several parcels of land therein described and the s~me is her~in confirmed, adopted and approved. Section $: That the owners of the several lots or parcels'of land in- cluded in said assessment shall paM the amounts from them seVerally due as shown by Co'lumn No. 3 of said Estin~t~d Assessment No. $91to t~ City Treasurer on or before thirty days from ~he date of the passage this Ordinsnce, at their option, and in def~ult thereof ss.id special assessment with interest at the rate of %~per centum per annum, upon deferred payments, Shall be payable to the County Treasurer in % annual installments with the regular taxes of 1922 to 1926 botL. inclusiVe.
