ORDINANCE NO. 3242 BY Mr. Myers <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE authorizing the Director of Finmuce to pay to the <br />Freshwater Construction Company the sum of Fourteen Dollars Twenty- <br />five Cents ($14.25) for use of air compressor on Edgewater Drive <br />October 19, 1929, and declaring an emergency. <br /> <br />WHEREAS the Freshwater Construction Company had made claim for $47.50 <br />for use of air compressor on Edgewater Drive when water main was con- <br />structed from Highland to Cove Avenue~, and, <br /> <br />V~HEREAS there has been a difference of Opinion as to the proper amount <br />payable to that Oompany, and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS at a meeting of Council September 8th, Council by mo~ion <br />authorized the payment of Fourteen Dollars Twenty-five Cents ($14.25) <br />in full payment of this claim,- <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE l~ ORDAINED by the COuncil of the City of Lakewood, <br />State of Ohio, two-thirds of all members thereof concurring:- <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Director of Finsnce be and he is hereby author- <br />ized to pay to the Freshwater C6nstruction Company the sum of Fourteen <br />Dollars twenty-five cents, ($14.25) in full settlement of this claim <br />as agreed to by the Freshwater Construction Company in a letter to <br />the Director of Finance dated October 23, 1931. <br /> <br />Section 2. The amount set forth in Section 1 to be paid from the <br />City Portion Water Fund. <br /> <br />Section 3. As stated in the preaZ~ble, this ordinance is declsred <br />to be an emerge~6y measure and shall be in full'force and effect from <br />and after its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Appr o e~ ~× Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
