ORDINANCE NO, 3562 by Mr, Spauur <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Section 2 of Zoning Ordinance No. 1786 as amended, <br />entitled "An 0rdinamee providing for the zoning or districting of the City of LakewoOd <br />and the regulation of the location, height, b,,~ and uses of buildings and other struc- <br />tures and premises and repealing Ordinance No. <br /> <br /> ~H~.'~EAS, an emergency exists to provide for the usual daily operation of a <br />municipal department and to provide for the ~mm-diate preservation of the public <br />peace, health and safety arising from the necessity of ame~t~E the zoning ordinance <br />to permit the location of a plant for the production of stainless steel by electrical <br />process; <br /> <br /> NOW, ~EFORE, BE IT 0~ BY ~ COUNCIL OF ~ CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />two-thirds of ~ ~embers thereof concurring: <br /> <br /> Section le That Ordinance No, 1786, as -m~nded, entitled "Au ordinance <br />providing for the zoning or districting of the city of Lakewood and the ~egulatton <br />of the location, b,,l~ height amd uses of buildings end other structures and <br />premises and repealing Ordinance No~ 1479", Section ~ thereof, be smd the same is <br />hereby emended by adding to ~ROUP ~, INDUSTRIAL CLASSES, ~b uses, a new section <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> #(12) Electric fu_~mace or fum~aces for the production of stainless <br /> steel ingots .nd equipment for the production of stainless steel <br /> sheets, strips end bars." <br /> <br /> That said Section ~, GR0~FP ~ I~DUSTRIAL C~, 3b uses, be and it is <br />hereby amended by the addition of said sub-sectiOn 1E as above set forth, but <br />limiting the application of said subsection 1~. to an area between Fischer Road <br />and Highland Avenue and New York 0entral Railroad and Berea Road, and that the zoning <br />nmgp may be changed asCordingly~ <br /> <br /> Section 2. ~This ordinance is hereby declared to be au emergency measure <br />for the reasons stated in the pre-able hereof and shell be in full force and effect <br />upon its passage by a vote of tw~-thirds of the members of the Council end the <br />approval of the mayore <br /> <br />Adopted: Nov, 21, 19~5 <br /> <br />~ames Cox-rosens Presidente <br /> <br />APPROVED: Aa I. ~auffm~n, Mayor H~ A.
