0RDi~ANCE No.3694 By Mrs. Spalding <br /> <br /> AN EIv~RGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Director of <br />Finance to pay to Carl N. Gresens, 16902 Delaware, Lakewood, <br />Ohio, the su~.., of ~5.50 in full payment of his claim against <br />the City of ~akewood, on account of damage to his glasses <br />and clothing, caused by an overhanging limb of a tree hitting <br />him in the face, while walking on sidewalk in ~ront of <br />2200 A~kias Avenue on June 9th 1937. <br /> <br /> WITEREAS, an emergency has arisen to settle said claim <br />promptly and to provide for the usual daily operation of a <br />municipal department, <br /> <br /> NOV~, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LAKE..~0OD, 0HI0, two-thirds of all members thereof <br />co ncurring: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Finance be and he is <br />hereby authorized to pay to Carl N. Gresens, 16902 Delaware <br />Avenue, Lakewood Ohio, upon the exedution of proper releasej <br />~n the amount of $5.50, in full payment of his claim against <br />the City of Lakewood on account of d~mage to his glasses and <br />clothing caused by an overhanging limb of a tree h~ting him in <br />the face, while walking on the sidewalk in front of 2200 Atkins <br />Avenue, June 9th 193V. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the amount set forth in Section i of <br />this ordinance shall be paid from appropriation 1M ( Damages <br />Paid by the City) as appropriated in Ordinance No. 3656, <br />adopted January 4th 1937. <br /> <br /> Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble <br />hereof and shall be in full, force and effect upon its passage <br />and approval by the mayor. <br /> <br /> do_ ted.'
