ORDINANCE No.3695 By i~ir. Lajcak <br /> <br /> ~ ~RGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Director of <br />Finance to pay to Leonard J. Schirmer, 15211 Athens Avenue, <br />L~kewood, Ohio, the sum o£ Nine Dollars Twenty-Seven Cents <br />(~9.27) in full payment of his claim against the City of <br />Lakewood, on account of damage to his glasses caused by an <br />overhanging limb of a tree hitting him in the face, while <br />walking on sidewalk in front of 2098 Elmwood Avenue on <br />August ~0th 1937. <br /> <br /> V~EREAS, an emergency has arisen to settle said claim <br />promptly and to provide for the usual daily operation of a <br />municipal department, <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LAKE~00D, OHI0, two-thirds of all members thereof <br />concurring: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Finance be and he <br />is hereby authorized to pay to LeOnard J. Schirmer, 15211 <br />Athens Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio, upon the execution of proper <br />release ~ the amount of Nine DolOrs Twenty-Seven Cents <br />(~9.27) in Full payment of his claim against the City of <br />Lake~ood on account of d~mage to his glasses, caused by an <br />overhanging limb of a tree hitting him in the face, while <br />walking on the sidewalk in front of 2098 Elmwood Avenue, <br />August 20th 1937. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the ~mount set forth in Section 1 <br />of this ordinance shall be paid frcm appropriation li..i (Damages <br />Paid by the City) as approoriated in Ordinance No. 3~56, <br />adopted January 4th 19Z7. - <br /> <br /> Section ~. This ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble <br />hereof and shall be in full force and effect upon its passage <br />and approval by the I~.¢ayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: SEP 7- 1937 <br /> <br />President <br /> <br />-.po. ovid. <br /> <br /> <br />
