' <br /> <br /> Whereas, Betty Homan, a minor, was injured on or about May 28, <br />1957, by falling over a curb water box in the tree lawn near <br />Riverside Avenue, Lakewoed, and sustained painful injuries and nor <br />parents are willing tc have said claim settled by the payment of <br />teen dollars ($18.00) covering all expenses in connectisn with the <br />injuries; and <br /> <br /> Whereas, an emergency exists to provide for the settlement of <br />said claim without delay. <br /> <br /> TP~REFORE, BE IT 0RDAINEDBY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEW00D, <br />0HIO, two-thirds of all members thereof concurring: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the wettlement of the claim of ~etty Hom~n, a <br />minor for injuries sustmined by falling over a curb water box in t~e <br />tree lawn near 140A Riverside Avenue on or about Nay 28, 19~?, is ~ere- <br />by authorized by the p~ment of sixteen dollars ($18.00) to the par- <br />ents of said minor, upon execution of a form of release and indemnity <br />agreement approved by the director of law. <br /> <br /> The director of finance is hereby authorized to pay said sum of <br />sixteen dollars ($16.00) in full settlement of said upon receipt of <br />the duly executed document as above, duly approved by the director of <br />law. Said payment to be made from the general fund. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
