ORDINANCE NOo3729 ' BY Mrs. Spalding <br /> <br />AN Ei~m~G~CY 0RDi~-~CE authorizing the settlement of claim <br />of Ethel Smith for personal injuries sustained by falling on <br />defective sidewalk. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ethel Smith was injured Oct. 2, 193V, by falling on <br />defective sidewalk at or about 1266 Fry Avenue, and ~n emergency <br />has arisen to settle said claim promptly and to provide for the <br />usual daily operation of a municipal department. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />Lakewood, State of Ohio, two-thirds (2/3) of all members <br />thereof concurring: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />That the settlement of the claim of <br />Ethel Smith for the snm of seventy-five <br />dollars ($75.00) is hereby authorized, <br />upon the execution of release duly approved <br />by the Director of Law. <br /> <br />The Di~-ector of Finance is hereby <br />authorized to pay said amount upon the <br />delivery to him of proper release duly <br />executed and approved and to charge same <br />to the General Fund. <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />As stated in the Preamble, this Ordinance <br />is ~ecl~red to be an emergency measure <br />and shall be in full force and effect from <br />and after its passage and approval by the ]~ayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />President <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
