ORDINANCE No. ~6 by Mr. MeGill AN E~ERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Lakewood, to purchase the certain real estate located on Marlowe Avenue in the City of Lakewood hereinafter mere particularly described. WHERFAS, this ordinmnce constitutes an emergency in that, by l~gislation heretofore adopted, this Council has appropriated and instructed the Director of Uaw to proceed with action to assess compensation with respect to the property hereinai~er described which action, but for this ordinance, will be filed fort~m~th~ in that the owner has agreed to sell said property for the consideration herein- after stipulated which this Council deems to be in the best interests of the ~Oity; and in that it provides for the public health and welfare and the usual daily operation cf a municipal department, now~ therefore, ~E IT ORDAINED BT THE O0~NOIL/OF TH~' 0ATX ~F' LA~O~,/STATE ~OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to purchase from Oharles A. Eall the following described property~ and to pay therefor Section 2. of the Director of date of transfer; Situated in the City of Lakewood, Oounty of Ouyaho.ga, and State of Ohio~ and knowu as being Sublet No. 220, in the Genck Realty Company's Lakewocd Subdivision, of a part of Section No. 22, Original Roc ~kport T~,~hip, as shown by th~ plat recorded in Volume 35, Page 26, Cuyahoga Oounty Map Records, and being a parcel of land on the west side of Marlowe Avenue, 44.20 feet wide an~d extending west on the north line 11~!.1§ feet and 114.~ feet on the south line, be the same m~re or less, bu~ subject ~ all legal high,-ays. the sum of Ten Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($10,500.00). That the title to said property shall be .subject to the approva?
