(~DINANCE NO. 4692 BY Mr, Quinn <br /> <br /> AN E~.~RGENCY ORDINAN~CE authorizing the Settlement of the claim of <br />Howard R. Deel for damages to his automobile arising by reason of a colli~on <br />with a City ~wned truck. <br /> <br /> WHEREAM, this ordinance constitutes an emergency in that,in order to save <br />the City frcm possible litigstion and further expense as well as possible addi- <br />tional obligations, it authorizes the immediate settlement and adjustment of <br />said claim and provides for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, <br />now, therefore~ <br /> <br />BE IT OFJ)AINED BY THE COUNCIL OF ~ CITY OF LAEEgOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That settlement of the claim of Howard R. Deel for the sum of <br />Eighty-one Dollars and Ninety-four Cents ($81.94) is hereby authorized condi- <br />tioned upon the execution and delivery by Howard R. Deel and Howard R. Deel, Jr. <br />of a full release in favor of the City of Imkewood, duly approved by the Direc- <br />tor of I~w. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Director of Finance be, and he is hereby, authorized <br />and directed t o p~ the sum of Eighty-one Dollars and Ninety-four Cents ($81.94) <br />to Howard R. Deel upon delivery to him of the foregoing release duly eXecuted <br />and approved,and to charge the same to the Generall~nd - Damages Paid By the <br />City. <br /> <br /> Section 3e This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />$or the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and~ provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of t~o-thirds of all members elected to Council~ it shall <br />take effect and be in force ~mmediately upon its adoption and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br /> <br />· -- presiden~ ~ ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
