ORDINANCE NO. 4793 BY Mro Quinn <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE fixing the salaries of the members of the Council <br />of the City of Lakewood beginning December 31st, 1951, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS Article II!, Sgction 3 of the Charter of the City of Lakewood <br />provides in substance that the salaries of the members of Council may be changed <br />by ordinance, provided such ordinance is passed at least one year prior to the <br />next regular municipal election, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the next regular municipal election will be held during the <br />month of November, 1953, and <br /> <br /> I~HEREAS an emergency exists to provide for the Immediate preservation <br />of the public property, health and safety and to provide for the usual daily <br />operation of a municipal department, now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF 0HIO: <br /> <br />Section le That beginning December 31st, 1951, the <br />salaries of the members of the Council of the City <br />of Lakewood shall be Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) <br />per annum payable in equal monthly installmentse <br /> <br />Section 2e That this ordinance is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in <br />the preamble hereof and provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all membera elected <br />to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayore <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />December 17~ 1951 <br /> <br />Wmo R.
