ORDINANCE NO. 4833 BY Mr. Fahrenbach <br /> <br /> AN E~ERGENCY ORDINANCE giving the consent of the City of Lakewood to the <br />improvement of Hilliard Road by Cuyahoga County, at an estimated cost of $61,600.00. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of County Commlssioners has tentatively approved a con- <br />struction program for the year 1952, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, one of these roads proposed to be improved is a City Street and <br />also a County Road known as Hilliard Road, lying between Ma~on Avenue and <br />Riverside D~ive, now, thereforej <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Sectisn 1. That it is declared to be of p~bli~ .interest that the consent <br />of the City be and such consent is hereby given to the improvement of the above <br />mentioned highway betweenthe termini aforesaid. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is hereby declared that the Improvement aforesaid is of <br />sufficient public importance to the City and that said City is financially able <br />to contribute 50% toward the cost thereof. <br /> <br /> Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency ordinance <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety, such <br />necessity exists byreason of the condition of said road between the points here- <br />inbefore designated, in consequence whereof great public inconvenience is being <br />suffered and public travel endangered and delayed, and for the reason that it is <br />necessary to proceed at once in order to complete the improvement of said road <br />during the coming yeare <br /> <br /> ' Section 4. That the Clerk be, and he is hereby directed to furnish to <br />the Board of County Commissioners of 0uyahoga County, Ohio a certified copy of <br />this ordinance immediately upon the taking effect thereof. <br /> <br /> Section 5.
