ORDINANCE NO. 6-58 BY: Messrs. <br /> <br />Fairgrieve, Gaydos, <br />Gottermeyer, Lawther, <br />Ward. <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE authorizing membership in the United States <br />Conference of~.yors and authorizing and directing the Director of <br />Finance to pay the cost of eueh membership. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The United States Conference of Mayors exists <br />solely to be of service to the larger cities of the country, and <br />provides a forum for the discussion and solution of problems co~on <br />to ~he operations of larger municipalities, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The cost of the ann~l membership dues is based <br />on populationof the respective cities, and such dues are considered <br />by thio Council to be reasonable~ now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY TME COUNCIL OF TME CXTYOFLAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO~ <br /> <br /> Beet!on 1. That membership of the City of Lakewood in the <br />United States Conference of Mayors is hereby determiuedto be in <br />the public interests and especially the interests of the citizens <br />of Lakewood and such membership is hereby authorized, <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Director of Fi,anco is hereby auth- <br />orized and directed to pay the sum of two hundred fifty dollars <br />for the year 1958 ae cost of membership of the City of Lakewood <br />in the United States Conference of Mayors; that such payment be <br />charged to the ~eneral Fund - Contingencies. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be <br />in force from and after its adoption at the earliest period al- <br />lowed by law. <br /> <br />AdOoted~ .....
