<br />! <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />Choekley, Fahrenbach, <br />Fairgrieve, Gaydos, <br />Gottermeyer, Ward. <br /> <br />Messrs. <br /> <br />BY: <br /> <br />100-58 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE transferring from the General Fund to the <br />Police Relief and Pension Fund the sum of ten thousand four hundred ten <br />dollars (110,410.00). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Revised Code Section 741.40 provides that in the event <br />moneys to the credit of the Police Relief and Pension Fund are not <br />sufficient to meet current relief and pension payments, the legisla- <br />tive authority may appropriate from the General Fund to the Police <br />Relief and Pension Fund sufficient money to meet such payments; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Revised Code Section 5705.14 provides that no transfers <br />shall be made from one fund to another except as provided therein, <br />among which provisions are that "Moneys appropriated therefor may be <br />transferred from the General Fund *** to a fund authorized by Revised <br />Code Section 5705.1Jd; and <br /> <br />Fund <br />, <br />and <br /> <br />moneys to be transferred from the General <br />have been appropriated for such purposes; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the <br />as herein provided, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency for the reasons <br />that moneys to the credit of the Police Relief and Pension Fund are <br />not sufficient to meet current relief and pension payments and mis- <br />cellaneous expenditures necessitating action forthwith in authorizing <br />and providing for the transfers herein authorized in order to meet <br />payments currently about to become due; and in that it provides for <br />the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />STATE <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE WOOD, <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That there shall be and is hereby transferred from <br />the General Fund Appropriation Item J267-A to the Police Relief and <br />Pension Fund the sum of ten thousand four hundred ten dollars ('10,410.); <br />and the Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to make <br />such records, cause such transfer, and to do and perform any and all <br />other acts and things necessary in order to carry out the purpose and <br />intent of this ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 2.
