ORDINANCE NO. 29-58 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. <br /> <br />Gottermeyer, Lawther, <br />Ward, Chockley, <br />Fahrenbach, Fairgrieve, <br />Gaydos. <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE to amend Section 751.O1 of the Traffic Code of <br />the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to prohibit parking <br />within three feet of the entrance to a private or public driveway. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1o That SeCtion 751.01 of the Traffic Code of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City ef Lakewood now reading: <br /> <br />"751.01 Limitations on parking. <br /> <br /> No person shall stand, or park a trackless trolley or <br />vehicle except when necessary to avoid conflict with ether <br />traffic or with the provisions of this code, or in compli- <br />ance with the directions of a police officer er a traffic <br />control device, in any of the following places: <br /> <br />Iit On a sidewalk, except a bicycle° <br /> ~ In front of a public or private driveway° <br /> Within an intersection. <br /> Within ten feet of a fire hydrant. <br /> On a crosswalk. <br /> Within twenty feet of a crosswalk at an intersection. <br />~gl Within thirty feet upon the approach to any flashing <br /> beacon, a stop sign or traffic control signal. <br />(h) Between a safety zone and the adjacent curb or within <br /> thirty feet of points on the curb immediately op- <br /> <br /> ~osite the ends of a safety zone, unless a different <br /> ength is indicated by a traffic control device. <br />(i) Within fifty feet of the nearest rail or a railroad <br /> crossing. <br />(J) Within twenty feet of the driveway entrance to any <br /> fire station and on the side of a street opposite <br /> the entrance to any fire station within seventy- <br /> five feet of said entrance when properly sign- <br /> posted. <br />(k) Alongside or opposite any street excavation or ob- <br /> struction when such standing, or parking would ob- <br /> struct traffic. <br />(1) Alongside any vehicle stopped er parked at the edge <br /> or curb of a street. <br />(m~ Upon any bridge or other elevated structure upom a <br /> highway or within a highway tunnel. <br />l~l At any place where signs prohibit stopping. <br /> Within one foot of another parked vehicle." <br /> <br />shall be and is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />751.01 Limitations on parking. <br /> <br /> No person shall stand, er park a trackless trolley or <br />vehicle except when necessary to avoid conflict with other <br />traffic or with the provisions of this code, or in compliance <br />with the directions of a police officer or a traffic control <br />device, in any of the following places: <br /> <br />On a sidewalk, except a bicycle. <br />I~ front of a publi? or private driveway. <br />Within an intersectxon. <br />Within ten feet of a fire hydrant. <br /> <br /> <br />
