AN E~RGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Section 109.O1 of the A~ninistra- tire Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood relative to establishing a standard of time throughout the City of Lakewood. WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency in that the City of Cleveland has adopted an ordinance providing a standard of time from the last Sunday of September to the last Sunday of October in each calendar year different than that provided by the orchtnancs of the City of Lakewood; and WHEREAS, The adoption of a standard of time within the City of Lakewood similar to that in the City of Cleveland is deemed by this Council to be in the best interests of the eitieens of I~ewood, and that such ordinance provides for the preservation of the public peace, property, health or safety, and that it provides for~the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY T~E COUNCIL OF T~E CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That Section 109,01 of the Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood now reading: =109.O1 Standard of time. The standard of time throughout the City of Lakewood shall be that of the ?Sth meridian of longitude west from ~reenwich except that from 2:00 otclock A.M, of the last Sunday of April until l:O0 otclock A.M. of the last Sunday of September in each calendar year the standard of time throughout the City of Lakewood shall be advanced one hour.# shall be and is hereby amended to read as follows: 109.01 Standard of time. The standard of trine throughout the City of Lakewood shall be that of the 75th.meridian of longitude west from ~eenw!ch ex- cept that ffrom 2.00 o clock A.M. of the last Sunday of ~pril until 2:00 otclock A.M. of the last Sunday of October 14 each calendar year the standard of time throughout the City ~f Lakewood shall be advanced one hour. Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emer- gency measure for the reasons stated inthe preamble hereof, aod provided it receives the affirmative vote of two'thirds of all members elected to Council, it~shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the F~yor, and original Section lOg.
