ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />77-5g <br /> <br />BY: Messrs, ~ottermeyer, Lawther, <br /> Ward, Chockley, <br /> Fahr~nbach, FAirgrieve, <br /> ~aydos. <br /> <br /> AN E~RGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Section 109.O1 of the A~ninistra- <br />tire Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood relative <br />to establishing a standard of time throughout the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency in that the <br />City of Cleveland has adopted an ordinance providing a standard of <br />time from the last Sunday of September to the last Sunday of October <br />in each calendar year different than that provided by the orchtnancs of <br />the City of Lakewood; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The adoption of a standard of time within the City of <br />Lakewood similar to that in the City of Cleveland is deemed by this <br />Council to be in the best interests of the eitieens of I~ewood, and <br />that such ordinance provides for the preservation of the public peace, <br />property, health or safety, and that it provides for~the usual daily <br />operation of a municipal department, now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY T~E COUNCIL OF T~E CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 109,01 of the Administrative Code of <br />the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood now reading: <br /> <br />=109.O1 Standard of time. <br /> <br />The standard of time throughout the City of Lakewood shall be <br />that of the ?Sth meridian of longitude west from ~reenwich <br />except that from 2:00 otclock A.M, of the last Sunday of April <br />until l:O0 otclock A.M. of the last Sunday of September in each <br />calendar year the standard of time throughout the City of <br />Lakewood shall be advanced one hour.# <br /> <br />shall be and is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />109.01 Standard of time. <br /> <br />The standard of trine throughout the City of Lakewood shall be <br />that of the 75th.meridian of longitude west from ~eenw!ch ex- <br />cept that ffrom 2.00 o clock A.M. of the last Sunday of ~pril <br />until 2:00 otclock A.M. of the last Sunday of October 14 each <br />calendar year the standard of time throughout the City ~f <br />Lakewood shall be advanced one hour. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emer- <br />gency measure for the reasons stated inthe preamble hereof, aod provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two'thirds of all members elected <br />to Council, it~shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />adoption and approval by the F~yor, and original Section lOg. C1 of the <br />Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood <br />shall be and it is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Adopted: September 15...19~8 <br /> <br />Approved: September 16,..!958 <br /> <br /> Frank P.
