Fahrenbach, <br /> Fairgrieve. <br /> AN ORDINANCE authorizing membership of the City of Lakewood in <br /> the Ohio Nmnieipai League, authorizing and directing the Director of <br /> Finance to pay the cost of such membership. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The 0hie Municipal League was formed "to secure amd <br />to maintain, through united effort the benefits of enlightened and <br />progressive government to the inhabitants of the mmnicipalities of <br />OhIo~ to exchange ideas and experiences, techniques and procedure; to <br />bring abomt better understanding of the common problems of m~i¢ipal- <br />ities, both by local government and by state goverrnment; to obtain a <br />proper and fair determination of the obligations of the sovereign <br />State ef Ohio to the citizens of itsmunmcipal~ties~ ' and to aid in the <br />formation of a planned and stable program ef financial aid to munici- <br />palities in harmony with the greatest measure of home rule."; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The cost of membership has been determined by the <br />league according to pop~ation of the respective member cities on <br />a basis considered by this Cenncil to be reasonable; now therefore <br />be it <br /> <br /> ORDAINED BY THE C0~CIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That membership of the City of Lakewood in the <br />Ohio M~ici al Lea ue is hereb determ' ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~,~. <br />mnterest a~ especially the interests of the citizens of Lakewood; <br />and such membership is hereby authorized. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized <br />and directed to pay the s~m of seven h~ndred twenty nine dollars for <br />the year 1~5~ as cost of membership of the City ef Lakewood in the <br />Ohio Nunicipal League; that such payment be charged te Appropriation <br />Ne. 326~ - C~neral Fund - Contingencies. <br /> <br /> Section 3.
