Summit Avenue were inspected and found to be in a similar danger- <br />ous state of repair, and, <br />WHEREAS, a delay which of necessity would have been occasioned <br />by compliance with the statutory bidding requiremen"ts, would have been <br />dangerous to the health and safety of the citizens of Lakewood, and, <br />WHEREAS, this ordinance cons"titutes an emergency in that it <br />provides for the immediate preservation øf the public peace, property, <br />health ør safety and prøvides før the usual daily øperation of a <br />municipal department, now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br />Seetiøn 1. That payment be made to the Kalill Company in the <br />amount of $16,620.87 fer the repairing of the Outfall Sewers in <br />Nicholsen Avenue, Wilbert Drive and Summit Avenue. <br />Section 2. That the Director of Finance De and he is hereby <br />directed to pay the sum of $16,620.87 to the Kalill Cømpany for re- <br />pairs to the Sewers in Nicholson Avenue, Wilbert Drive aIld Summit <br />Avenue, and that the said sum be charged to the Sewer Construction <br />and Imprøvement Fund. <br />Sectiøn 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency meas\l.re for the reasons stated in the preamble hereøf, and <br />provided i~ receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoptiom and approval by the Mayor. <br />Adopted:_ April 6. 1959 Thomas C.
