AS AMENDED October 4', 1965 ORDINANCE N0. 59-65 BY: Messrs. Gaydos, Huffman, Usher, Ward, Wendling. AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to enact new Section 907.08 of the General Offenses Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood relating to resisting arrest or interfering in any manner with the enforcement of any ordinance of the City of Lakewood. WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public peace and safety and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department3 now~ therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAICEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the General Offenses Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood be and the same is hereby supplemented by enacting a new Section 907,08 to read as follows: Section 907.08 Resisting Arrest~ Interference with Law Enforcement No person shall resist, hinder, obstruct, abuse, or interfere in any manner with any~erson charged with the enforcement of any ordinance o~the City Of Lakewood, while such person is engaged in the perform- ance of his duty. Whoever violates this section shall be fined not more than fifty dollars ($50.00), nor less than ten dollars ($10.00). Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to b~-an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the pre- amble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of tWo-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and ap- proval by the Mayor.
