Ab AMENDED October 4, 1965 ORDINANCE NO. 60-65 BY: Messrs. Huffman, Usher, Ward, Wendling, Bennett, Cain, Gaydos. AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to enact new Section 907.09 of the General Offenses Code of the Codified Ordinances of the Cit~ of Lakewood relating to false information giv~ to public officials and other persons in charge of locations where groups of persons assemble and to repeal existing Section 937.04 of the General Offenses Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood. WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public peace and safety and for the usual daily operation of a municiRal department; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHI0: Section 1. That the General Offenses Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood be and the same is hereby supplemented by enacting a new Section 907.09 to read as follows: Section 907.09 False Information, call or report. No person shall knowingly give or assist in giving any false or fictitious information, call, or re- port to any police officer, sheriff, fire depart- ment official, or any other law enforcement officer, or to any person dispatching or operating an ambu- lance or any other emergency vehicle with intent to mislead, misdirect or improperly summon said officer or person, nor shall any person knowingly give false or fictitious information, call, or report to any school official or other person in charge of loca- tions where groups of persons assemble when the nature of such false or fictitious information, call or report results in law enforcement action. Whoever violates this section shall be fined not more than Fifty Dollars ($50.00), nor less than ten dol- lars Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the pre- amble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected tb Council it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and ap- proval by the Mayor, and existing Section 937.04 of the General Offenses Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, enacted by Ordinance No. 1626, passed August 2, 1920, shall be and is hereby repealed.
