Messrs. Cain, Gaydos, <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 80-65 BY: Huffman, Usher, <br /> Ward, Wendling, <br /> Bennett. <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE declaring the building or <br />structure located at 1325-27 Cohassett Place, Lakewood, Ohio, <br />to be structurally unsafe and defective~ unsanitary, a fire <br />hazard, or otherwise dangerous to human life, beyond repair, <br />and a public nuisance, and authorizing the Mayor, as Acting <br />Building Commissioner, to cause the same to be razed; and <br />authorizing and directing the exertion ora contract therefor, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Acting Building Commissioner, under the <br />provisions of Sections 1603o50 to 1603.56, both inclusive, <br />of theBuilding Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />Lakewood, has determined that the herein described building or <br />s~ructure is structurally unsafe ~d defective, unsanitary, a <br />fire hazard, or otherwisedangerous to human life, beyond <br />repair, and a public nuisance; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, After said determination the owner of said <br />building or structure was notified by the appropriate official <br />as provided by the aforesaid authorizing sections and said <br />owner has refused or failed ~o comply with said notice; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Acting Building Commissioner has auth- <br />orized the demolition and removal of said structure or building; <br />and, <br /> <br /> WHE~S, This ordinance Constitutes an emergency <br />measure in that said structure or building involves immediate <br />danger to human life or health, constitutes a~ public nuisance <br />detrimental to the public health, safety and welfare requiring <br />the immediate elimination thereof, and in order to provide for <br />the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the structure or building known as <br />1325-27 Cohassett Place, LakewoOd, Ohio and more fully described <br />as the structure or building located on the following premises: <br /> <br />Situated in the City of Lakewood, County of Cuyahoga, <br />State of Ohio, and being part of Original Rockport <br />Township Section Noo 21 and further bounded and <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point in the Easterly line of a <br />parcel of land owned by the Lakewood Board of <br />Education, which point is distant South along <br />said Easterly line 42.88 ft. from the Southerly <br />line of the New York Central and Sro Louis Railroad <br />right of way 66 feet wide, at a point distant <br />westerly on Baid Southerly?line about 230.08 feet <br />from the Westerly line of Thoreau Road° <br /> <br /> <br />
