ORDINANCE NO. 85-65 BY: Messrs. Gaydos, Huffman, <br /> Usher, Ward, <br /> Wendling, Bennett, <br /> Cain. <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing settlement of <br />the claim of Lila Brueggemann and State Farm Mutual Automobile <br />Insurance Company, in the total amount of One Hundred Forty- <br />Five Dollars ($145.00), arising out of an accident which <br />occurred on May 31, 1963, near Lewis Drive and Athens Avenue <br />in the City of Lakewood, Ohio. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ This ordinance constitutes an emergency <br />in that it may save the City from further expense and a possible <br />substantial jury verdict rendered against the City and in that <br />it provides for the usual daily operation of a municipal depart- <br />ment; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY TNE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That settlement of the claim of Lila <br />Brueggemann and State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, <br />in the amount of One Hundred Forty-Five Dollars' ($145.00), as <br />hereby'ordered and authorized, conditioned upon the execution <br />and delivery by Lila Brueggemann and State Farm Mutual Automobile <br />Insurance Company of a full release in favor of the City of <br />Lakewood, duly approved by the Director of Law. <br /> <br /> Section 2o That the Director of Finance be and he is <br />hereby authorized to pay the sum of One H~nd~ed Forty-Five Dollars <br />($145.00) to Lila Brueggemann and State Farm Mutual Automobile <br />Insurance Company upon delivery to the Director of Finance of the <br />foregoin~ release duly executed and approved; and to charge the <br />same to the General Fund - Damages paid by the City. <br /> <br /> Section 3.
