ORDINANCE NCo 86-65 BY: Messrs. Usher, Ward, <br /> Wendling, Bennett, <br /> Cain, Gaydos, Huffman. <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing settlement of <br />the claim of Dorothea Cary, in the total amount of Seven <br />Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($750o00), arising out of an accident <br />when she fell at Warren Road and Detroit Avenue in the City of <br />Lakewood, Ohio, on September 9, 1964o <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency <br />in that it may save the City from further expense and a possible <br />substantial jury verdict rendered against the City and in that <br />it provides for the usual daily operation of a municipal depart- <br />ment; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That settlement of the claim of <br />Dorothea Cary in the amount of Seven Hundred and Fifty Dollars <br />($750°00) is hereby ordered and authorized, conditioned upon <br />the execution and ~elivery by Dorothea Cary of a full release <br />in favor of the City of Lakewood, duly appointed by the Director <br />of Law° <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and <br />he is hereby authorized to pay the sum of Seven Hundred and <br />Fifty Dollars ($750.00) to Dorothea Cary upon delivery to the <br />Director of Finance of the foregoing release duly executed <br />and approved; and to charg~ the same to the General Fund - <br />Damages paid by City. <br /> <br /> Section 3.
