ORDINANCE NO. 70-66 <br /> <br />H¥: Kelley, Usher, Ward, Wendlingj <br /> Cain, Gaydos, Huffman <br /> <br /> AN E~EGENCY ORDINANCE creating the position and salary of Police <br />Cadet, in the D/vision of Police of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> W~ER~AS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, in that in the <br />interest of public service, welfare and safety it is necessary to establish <br />the position of Police Cadet and to establish the compensation thereof; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The position is hereby created and the compensation of <br />Police Cadet in the DiviSion of Police in the City of Lakewood shall be as <br />follows, commenciv~ October 9, 1966: <br /> <br />Police Cadet - $1.75 per hour for and during the fixat <br /> year of service. <br /> <br />$2.25 per hour for and during the second <br /> year of service. <br /> <br />$2.50 per hour thereafter. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Compensation provided for herein shall be paid in <br />semi-monthly installments, or in equal installments every two weeks. <br /> <br /> Section 3. A suitable uniform shall be furnished each PoliCe Cadet <br />by the Division of Police in lieu of a unifot~allowance. <br /> <br /> Sect/on 4. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and pro- <br />vided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected <br />to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />adoption and approval by the Mayor; and Ordinance No. 87-64 adopted <br />November 2, 1964 shall be and is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />...................... ~ P~s'tdent <br /> <br />Grace Re~notd~$ <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br />Approved: Oa~amh~ ~.. 1966 <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
