J AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE granting permission to the , Society for crippled Children, 14587 Madison Avenue, in the Citý of Lakewood, to construct a one story addition to the front of the existing structure on its parcel of land which is located on the south side of Madison Avenue, so as to extend said additional structure northerly of the present 25 foot set-back line along the soptherly line of Madison Avenue. WHEREAS, By Ordinance No. 79-63, adopted October 7 1963, the Building Line Map was amended so as to establish building set-back lines along Madison Avenue in the City of Lakewoodí such building set-back lines being 25 feet southerly and northerly of the southerly and northerly street lines of Madison Avenue, and, WHEREAS, By Ordinance No.1-52, adopted August 20, 1952, this Council has the power to authorize construction beyond said building set-back lines in instances' where appro- priate improvement to property cannot be secured without building beyond the established building line, and, WHEREAS, This Council determines that in order to secure appropriate improvement to the property located at 14587 Madison Avenue, further known as permanent parcel number 314-18-6, it is necessary to construct a building or buildings beyond the present set-back line, and, '\ \ . , WHEREAS, An emergency exists in that it is deemed necessary to authorize the issuance of a construction permit forthwith in order to provide for the public convenience, and the health, safety and welfare of the City and its inhabitants now. therefore, OF CItrY THE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF STATE OF OHIO: !J\.KEWOOD, Section 1. That this Council hereby grants per- mission to The Society for crippled Children to construct an addition to its presently existing building at 14587 Madison Avenue and in so doing to encroach beyond the existing building ",et-back line a distance of 'fifteen US) feet. section 2. That the permit granting the construc- tion of an additional structure at 14587 Madison Avenue in the City of Lakewood be contingent upon the maintenance of a build- 1ng set-back line of at least ten (10) feet from the southerly street line of Madison Avenue and that the land between the southerly s'treet line of Madison Avenue and the new additional structure at 14587 Madison Avenge be landscaped and be used for no other purpose
