ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />55-67 ~: Messrs. Gaydos, Huffman, Kelley <br /> Usher~ Ward, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Sections 143o05(b) <br />and 143~10(a) of the Administrative Code of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the city of Lakewood, relating te terms and <br />conditions of employment by the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WMEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the usual daily operation of municipal <br />departments; now0 therefore~ <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF ~HE ~!XTY OP LAKEWOO3 <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section i43.05(b) of the <br />Administrative Code cf the Codified Ordinances of the <br />City of Lakewood, now reading as follows: <br /> <br />Section 143.05(b) <br /> <br />"Vacation time shall be earned in one calendar year <br />and taken in a subsequent calendar year and shall <br />be prorated in accordance with the table set forth <br />in subsection {a) above, provided, however, that <br />employees who have completed fifteen (15) years of <br />service by June (1st) o~ any given year shall be <br />entitled to three (3) weeks vacation in that year <br />and all subsequent k~ears of employment. Nothing <br />l%erein contained s~lt be ~, .~strued to prevent an <br />employee from being compensated for vacation time <br />earned upon the termination of his employment for <br />any reason other than discharge for cause~ condition <br />e~ apon at least one week's notice of such termina- <br />tion by such en~ployee~~ <br /> <br />be and t~e same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 143.05 ~'b% <br /> <br /> Vacation time shall be earned in one calendar year <br /> and taken in a subsequent calendar year and shall <br /> be prorated in accordance with the table set forth <br /> in subsection (a) above, provided~ however, that all <br /> full-time, permanent employees of the divisions of <br /> fire and police who have completed fifteen (15) <br /> years of service by June 1st of any given year <br /> shall be entitled to three (~) weeks vacation in <br /> that year and all subsequent y~ars of employment~ <br /> ~nd that all other full-time permanent employees <br /> of 'the City of Lakewood who have completed ten (10) <br /> years of service by June (lst) of any given year <br /> shall be entitled to three (3) weeks vacation in <br /> that year and all subsequent years of employment. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
