Kelley: Usher, Ward, Wendling, Gaydos, Graber, Huffman AN E~RGENCY ORDINANCE electing to accept the verdict of the jury appropriating property for the Sloane Avenue Redevelopment Area Urban Renewal Project, located at 1380-82 Sloane, 1384-88 Sloane Avenue, and 1392 Sloane Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio. WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency measure in that it provides for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COtINCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Council of the City of Lakewood hereby elects to accept the award of the jury in the amount of $42,500.00, on the 7th day of June, 1968, CuYahoga County Probate Court Case Nua~er 718587, entitled City of Lakewood vs. George William Joseph, Jr., et al., wherein the City of Lakewood~ appropriated the fee simple interest in the property described and set forth therein and known for street numbering purposes as 1380-82 Sloane Avenue~ Lakewood, Ohio. Section 2. T'hat the Council of the City of Lakewood hereby elects to accept the award of the jury in the amount of $16,850.00 on the 7th day of June, !968, Cuyahoga County Probate Court Case Number 719117, entitled City of Lakewood vs. Israel D. Rogolsky, et al., wherein the City of Lakewood appropriated the fee simple interest in the property described and set forth therein and known for street n~abering purposes as 1384-88 Sloane Avenue, LakewoOd, Ohio. Section 3. That the Council of the City of Lakewood hereby elects to accept the award of the jury in the amount of $4,800.00 on the 7th day of June, 1968, Cuyahoga County Probate Court Case Number 718247~ entitled City of Lakewood vs. Lois L. Mintz, et al., wherein the City of Lakewood appropriated the fee simple interest in the property described and set forth therein and known for street numbering purposes as 1392 Sloane Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio. Section 4. That the amount for such purposes together with other expenses in connection with the acquisition of said property, shall be paid out of the Sloane Avenue Redevelopment Fund. Section 5. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereof, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
