ORDINANCE NO. 67-68 <br /> <br />Kelley, Usher <br />Gaydos, Graber <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE fixing the corapensation of <br />the Clerk, directing the time and method of payment of the other <br />employees of the Lakewood ~dunicipal Court and repealing Ordinance <br />No. 51-67, adopted August 22, 1967. <br /> W~J~REAS, The Municipal Court Act, Revised Code Sections <br />i901.1 to 1901.38, inclusive, effective October 1, 1~53, fixed <br />the compensation of the Judge, provided that the compensation of <br />the Bailiff and Deputy Bailiffs shall be as prescribed by the court, <br />and that the compensation of the Deputy Clerks shall be prescribed <br />by the Clerk, and, <br /> WHEREAS, S&id Act. further provides that the compensation <br /> of the Judge, Clerk and Bailiff shall be paid three-fifths from th~ <br /> City Treasury and two,fifths from the Treasury of the County in <br /> which the city is located, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ This ordinance constitutes an emergency measur~ <br /> providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department <br /> in that in the interest of public serviceo welfare and safety, it <br /> is necessary to fix the compensatio~ of the Clerk and direct the <br /> time and method of payment of the other employees of the Lakewood <br /> Municipal Court; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br /> STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1, That the compensation of the Clerk of the <br /> Lakewood Municipal Court is hereby fixed at $11,130 per annum <br /> commencing August 25, 1968. <br /> Section 2. That the Director ~f Finance of the City of <br /> LakewOod is hereby authorized and directed to pay three-fifths of <br /> the compensation of the judge, three-fifths of the compensation of <br /> the Clerk as herein fixed, three-fifths of the compensation of the <br /> Bailiff and all compensation of the Deputy Bailiffs as shall be <br /> prescribed by the Judge, all compensation of the Deputy Clerks as <br /> shall be prescribed by the Clerk, from the City Treasury in semi- <br /> monthly installments or in equal installments every two weeks. <br /> Sectto%% 3.
