ORDINANCE NO. 75-68 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Graber, Huffman, Kelley, <br /> Usher, Wendling, Gaydos <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing and directing <br />the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Lakewood, to terminate <br />the existing contract between the City of Lakewood and the <br />Board of County Commissioners of Cuyahoga County, entered <br />into pursuant to Ordinance Number 4802, adopted February 4, <br />1952, relating to the coordination of Civil Defense activities <br />within Cuyahoga County, in accordance with the termination <br />clause contained therein. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This Council de~ms it to be in the best <br />interest of the City to terminate this agreement, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, An emergency exists to provide for the <br />usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby <br />authorized to terminate the existing contract between the <br />City of Lakewood and the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Cuyahoga County, entered into pursuant to Ordinance Number <br />4802, adopted February 4, 1952, relating to the coordination <br />of Civil Defense activities within Cuyahoga County in accor- <br />dance with the termination clause contained therein. <br /> <br /> Section 2o That this ordinance constitutes an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof <br />and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds <br />of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be <br />in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor° <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />October 7, 1968 <br /> <br />Robert E.
