ORDINANCE NO. 62-69 <br /> <br />By: Messrs. Huffman, Kelley, Usher, <br /> Ward, Wendling, Gaydos, Graber <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Section 371.06(b) of the <br />Traffic Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood <br />relating riding on the outside of a motor, vehicle. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the usual daily operation of municipal <br />departments and for the immediate preservation of the public <br />health, safety and welfare; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY ~HE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 371.06(b) of the Traffic Code <br />of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now reading <br />as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 371.06(b) <br /> (b) No person shall hang onto, or ride on the outside <br /> of, the rear end of any motor vehicle, while <br /> moving upon a street except mechanics or test <br /> engineers making repairs or adjustments." <br /> <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 371.06(b) <br /> <br /> No person shall hang onto or ride on the outside <br /> of any motor vehicle while it is moving upon a <br /> street except mechanics or test engineers making <br /> repairs and adjustments. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to'be <br />an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof <br />and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect immediately <br /> and approval by the Mayor. , <br /> <br />npon its <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />, Pres ~nt <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
