ORDINANCE NO. 58-70 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Huffman, Kelley, Usher, Wendlin~ <br /> Gaydos, Graber <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Section 107.06 of the <br />Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />Lakewood relating to Notice To Bid. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Lakewood has been <br />amended to provide for purchases up to $3,500.00 without public <br />competitive bidding, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is therefore appropriate for this Council <br />to amend Section 107.06 of the Administrative Code of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to conform to such <br />amendment, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That SectiOn 107.06 of the Administrative <br />Code of the City of Lak~wood, now reading as follows: <br /> <br />107.06 <br /> <br />NOTICE TO BID <br /> <br />When an expenditure within a department, other than <br />the compensation for professional services rendered <br />or compensation of persons employed therein, ~exceeds <br />one thousand dollars (Si,Q00), the notice to bid <br />shall be published in a newspaper of general circula- <br />tion in the City once a week for not less than two <br />nor more than four, consecutive weeks. <br /> <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />107.06 NOTICE TO BID <br /> <br />When an expenditure within a department, other than <br />the compensation for professional services rendered <br />or compensation of persons employed therein, exceeds <br />three thousand five hundred dollars ($3,500), the <br />notice to bid shall be published in a newspaper of <br />general circulation in the City once a week for not <br />less than two nor more than four, consecutive weeks. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
