ORI)INANCE NO. 62-70 <br /> <br />BY: <br /> <br />K~l. lcy, U:4hcr, Wcndling <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE fixing the salary of the Mayor of the City of Lakcwood, <br />effective January 1, 1972. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article II, Section 5'of the Charter of the City of Lakewood <br />provides that the salary of the Mayor may be changed by ordinance of <br />Council, providing such ordinance shall be effective at least one year <br />prior to the beginning of the term of the Mayor to be affected thereby. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the term of the Mayor to be affected by the change in salary <br />in this ordinance begins January 1, 1972, which is more than one year <br />hence; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the salary of the Mayor of the City of Lakewood shall <br />be $26,000 per annum, payable in equal, semimonthly installments or in <br />equal installments every two weeks, commencing January 1, 1972. <br /> <br />Sect'ion 2. That this ordinance shall be in force and take effect from <br />and after the earliest period allowed by law, provided, however, that <br />the salary of the Mayor as herein provided shall take effect <br />January 1, 1972, and that Ordinance No. 74-66, adopted November 7, 1966, <br />shall be and is hereby repealed as of December 31, 1971. <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
