NOW, ~REFOP~q. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Lakewccd, Cuyahoga County, Sta~e of Ohio: Section I. TY. at the assessment of the cost and expense of improving Scenic Street from Detroit Extension to Southerly Terminus in the Citz of Lakewood, Chio, by the necessary grading of the base: resurfacing with asphaltic concrete including the necessary reolacemeut and resetting of cas~ings and the necessary resetting and replacing of curbs together with the necessary appu_wtenances thereto as set forth in Resolution No. h763 adoot~d by this Council on February 16, 1970 and m~o~uting in the aggregate ~o ~2,196.h3 as reported to this Council on the 15th d~y of M~ch, 1971, by the Director of F~nance~ be ~ud the same is hereby ado=ted and confi.~..~ed~ and that there be and are hereby levied and assessed uoon the lots and lands bounding and abutting upon said innrovement the several~ounts reoorted as aforesaid, which assessments and the descriotion of said lots and l~uds are now on file in the office of the Clerk of Council and which assessments are in proportion to the special benefits, and are not in excess of a~- statutory limitation. 'Section 2. That the total assessment against each lot or parcel of land shall be pmygole in cash not later th~n May 15, 1971, or at the optibn of the o%~er, in five annual installments with interest a~ the s~me rate as shall be borne by the bonds to be issued in anticioation of the collection of the s~ne. All cash pavements shall be made to the Director of Finance of s~_id City. All assessments and installments thereof rer. aining unpaid at the expiration of said period shall be certified by the Director of Finance to the Ccunty Auditor as provided by law to be placed by him on the tax duplicate a~.d collected as other taxes are collected. Section 3. ~nis ordinance, having been determined to be an emergency measure, shall be in full force and effect from and in-~ediately after its passage ~d approval by the Mayor.
