<br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE providing for the-sale of certain
<br />real property located at the southeast corner of Detroit Avenue
<br />and Arthur Avenue in the City of Lakewood, Ohio, and~ specifically
<br />being a portion of the front lawn of Lakewood Public Library.
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the said real property (hereinafter described
<br />in the body of the Agreement) was conveyed to the City by the
<br />Board of Trustees of the Lakewood Public Library on March 1, 1951
<br />for the consideration of one dollar ($1.00),and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Lakewood Public
<br />Library has requested that the said real property be returned to
<br />the Lakewood Public Library, and .
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the said real property owned by the City of
<br />Lakewoo6, is no longer needed for any municipal purpose, and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, for the foregoing reason, it is in the bes~
<br />interest of the City of Lakewood that said real property be sold,
<br />and,
<br />
<br /> WHERF3%S, the Board of Control of the City of Lakewood
<br />has directed that said real property be s.~ld, and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency measure
<br />providing for the i~ediate preservation of the public health,
<br />safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a rmlnicipal
<br />department; now, therefore,
<br />
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE C0b~CIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD,
<br />STATE OF OHIO: ··

<br /> Section 1. It is hereby determined that the real prop-
<br />erty described in the Agreement.set forth herein is no longer needed
<br />for municipal purposes. .
<br />
<br /> Section 2. This council hereby authorizes the sale of
<br />said land to the Board of Trustees'of. the Lakewood Public Library,
<br />and the Mayor is authorized and directed, to execute, on behalf of
<br />the City of Lakewood, a contract for the sale of said property, in
<br />substantially the following form:

<br />THIS AGREEMENT made and concluded at Lakewood, Ohio, this'
<br />day of April, 1971, bv and between the City of Lakewood, whose
<br />mailing address is 12~o50 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio, here-
<br />inafter called the "VENDOR" and the Board of Trustees of the
<br />Lakewood Public Library, whose mailing address is 15426 Detroit
<br />AVenue, Lakewood, Ohio, hereinafter called tile "V.F~NDEE".
