Kelley, Usher, Ward, Wendling, , Gaydos, Graber, Huffman AN EMERGENCY ORDInanCE establishing a fee schedule for'the issuing of permits for the erection, construction, enlarging, altering,repairing, moving or d~molishing of a building or other ~tructure and for surfacing, electrical work, plumbing, installation of heating devices, refrigeration and air con- ditioning systems, for the erection.of signs, when said permits are required by the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood. WHEREAS, the cost of the issuance of permits and the supervision and inspection of alterations and construction of various kinds has ma~er£ally increased; and WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the u~ual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAI~D BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF 0HIO: Section 1, That the fees to be paid for building permits shall be determined by the Building Inspector in accordance with the following schedule and shall be noted upon the application when approved for the issuing of the permit. Such fees are to be paid to the permit clerk who upon receipt of said fees shall issue the permit to the applicant. The fees to be paid shall be as follows: X. BUILDIEG PERMIT FEES a) New Buildings and Structures ~) Up to 2000 square feet of aggregate floor area, ~inimum fee $ 50.00 2) For every 100 square feet of aggregate floor area or part thereof for residential us~ in excess of ~000 square feet 1.00 For every 100 square feet of aggregate floor area ~r part thereof for commercial, industrial,retail or apartment house use in excess of 2000 sq. ft. 2.00 b) For all new additions and alterations which change the height, area, classification or grade of the building, From no additional floor area and up to 1000 sq. feet of aggregate floor area, minimum fee 10.00 2) For every t00 square feet of aggregate floor area or part thereof for residential use, in excess of 1000 square feet 1.00 3) For every 100 square feet of aggregate floor area ~r part thereof for comznercial, industrial, retail or apartment house use in excess of 1000 sq. ft. 2.00 c) Garages (detached) l) Up to 450 square feet of aggregate floor area, minimum fee .5 o O0 2) For every I00 square feet of aggregate floor area or part thereof in excess of 450 sq. ft. 1.00 d) Structural changes and/or remodelling where no floor ~pace is added to the existing structure 1) S~ructural changes aud/or r~,motlc, lli. n)% ch;mu, es of up tO $l,000.O0of valuation, minimum fee 5.00 2) For ench ndd£tionnl $100.00 of valuation or part thereof In cxce~ of ";I.
