ORDINANCE NO. 63-71 BY: Messrs. Usher, Wendling, Gaydos, <br /> ~ Graber, Huffman, Kelly <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Section 149.15 (b) of the Administrative <br />Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood relating to payment by the <br />City of Lakewood of certain sums toward members of the Division of Fire's hospital- <br />ization coverage effective and commencing May 30, 1971 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City to <br />provide for this participation in the medical and hospital protection plans of the <br />City employees, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br />the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 149.15 (b) of the Administrative Code of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now reading as follows: <br /> <br />Section 149.15 GITY'S SHARE OF HOSPITALIZATION INSURANCE. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to pay out of City <br />funds up to thirty dollars ($30.00) per month toward hospitalization <br />coverage of each member of the Division of Fire, payable monthly or <br />semi-annually at the discretion of the Director of Finance. <br /> <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 149.15 CITY'S SHARE OF HOSPITALIZATION INSURANCE. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to pay out of City <br />funds up to thirty-seven dollars ($37.00) per month toward hospital- <br />ization coverage of each member of the Division of Fire, payable <br />monthly or semi-annually at the discretion of the Director of Finance° <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of al! members elected to Council, and is approved <br />by the Mayor, it shall take effect and be in force as of May 30, 1971 <br />and existing Section 149.15 (b) of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, <br />adopted March 1, 1971, is hereby repealed. · <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Approved <br /> <br />.-?, <br /> <br />MayB'r <br /> <br /> <br />
