Magnotto, McBride, Usher, <br />Wendling, Brockman, Graber, Kelley <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to supplement Ordinance 29-71 by adding a new paragraph <br />thereto to establish fees for additional inspections by the Division of Building <br />Inspection of the City when work, upon inspection, was found to be incomplete <br />or in need of corrections or when a special inspection is required. <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance 29-71 adopted by .the City of Lakewood on the 22nd day of <br />June, 1971 established a schedule of fees for permits that are required by the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Division of Building Inspection of the City has, upon inspection, <br />found on numerous occasions that the work being done was either incomplete <br />or in need of correction or not ready for inspection for one reason or another <br />and additional inspections became necessary, and <br />WHEREAS, the Division of Building Inspection has been required to make special <br />inspections, not routine inspections of work being done 'under a permit, and <br />WHEREAS, said schedule of fees does not include a fee to be charged for such <br />additional or special inspections, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual <br /> daily'operation of a municipal department, now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAII.~D BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That Ordinance 29-71 be supplemented by adding a new paragraph <br /> IX thereto providing as follows: <br /> <br /> IX ADDITIONAL INSPECTION F~ES. <br /> 1. Whenever an inspection has been requested and the work is found to <br /> be incomplete or in need of correction, there shall be charged <br /> a fee in the amount of $5.00 for each subsequent reinspection. <br /> <br /> 2.. Whenever a special inspection, not a routine inspec~i°n of work <br /> being done under a permit, is requested there shall be charged <br /> an inspection fee in the amount of $5.00. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br /> for the reasons stated in ~he preamble hereof and providing it receives the <br /> affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br /> take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by <br /> the Mayor. <br /> <br />App roved: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br /> <br />
