ORDINANCE NOo 66-72 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Wendling, Werner, Brockman, <br /> Graber, Magnotto, McBride~ Usher <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Director of~ <br />Public Works to employ by contract, the firm of the F. A. Pease Engineering <br />Co. as consulting engineers for the purpose of preparing construction draw-' <br />ings, contract documents and specifications for the relief sewer project to <br />serve the Hazelwood-Donald-Thoreau area of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> ~HEREAS, this Council determines that it is necessary to provide <br />relief storm and sanitary sewers in the Hazelwood-Donald-Thoreau area of <br />the City of Lakewood, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council determines that it is necessary to employ the <br />services of a consulting engineer in regard to the construction of such <br />relief sewers, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health and' <br />safety and for the usual daily operation of a ~unicipal department, now,~ <br />therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to employ by contract the firm of The F. A. Pease <br />Engineering Co., 12025 Shaker Boulevard, Suite 500, Cleveland, Ohio 44120 <br />as consulting engineers for the purpose of furnishing all engineering design <br />and drafting services for this project. These services will consist of the <br />study of alternate solutions with recommendations for the final design, the <br />preparation of detailed construction plans' specifications, estimates of <br />cost and contract documents complete for bidding. The cost of these services <br />will be based upon the actual time spent working on this project not to <br />exceed the sum of $20,000.00. ' <br /> <br /> Section 2.
