ORDINANCE NO. 60-74 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Chinnock, Graber, Magnotto, <br /> McBride, Sinagra, Usher, Brockman <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Director of <br />Public Works to employ by contract the firm of Braun and Spice, Inc. Architects, <br />to provide professional architectural services for the construction of a pedes- <br />tTian bridge over Belle Avenue between Lakewood Hospital and the Hospital Parking <br />Garage, which services shall include the preparation of construction drawings, <br />contract documents and specifications. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has determined that it is in the best interest <br />of the City to construct a pedestrian bridge over Belle Avenue connecting Lakewoo~ <br />Hospital and the Hospital Parking Garage, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has determined that it is necessary to employ the <br />services of an architect in regard to the construction of said pedestrian bridge, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br />the usual daily operation of a municipal department and for the immediate preser- <br />vation of the public health, safety and welfare in that the construction of the <br />proposed pedestrian bridge should be commenced without delay; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to employ by contract the firm of Braun and Spice, Inc. <br />Architects, 6415 Stumph Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44130 as the professional architects <br />for the purpose of preparing construction drawings, contract documents and spe- <br />cifications for the construction of a pedestrian bridge over Belle Avenue connecti <br />Lakewood Hospital and the Hospital Parking Garage. Said contract shall be based <br />upon the proposal submitted by the said Braun and Spice, Inc., Architects, on <br />May 13, 1974, designated Project No. 7401, and shall provide for a fee to be <br />computed in accordance with said proposal. <br /> <br /> Section 2. <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble~and provided it receives <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members~lected\to Coun~i~,\i~shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its a~option ~nd a~p~v~llb~the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Appr°ved: ~~i ~ <br /> <br />That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br /> <br /> the <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
