ORDINANCE NO. 31-75 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. , Brockman, Chinnock, <br /> Magnotto, McBride, Sinagra <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to provide a cost of living adjustment for the <br />year 1975 for members of the Division of Fire and to provide for payment of same <br />from the Federal Revenue Sharing Fund. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this~Ordina~ce constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br />the usual dailyoperation of a municipal department in that in the interest of <br />public service, welfare and safety it is necessary to provide a cost of living <br />adjustment for members of the Division of Fire for the year 1975; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. In addition to his regular compensation, there shall be paid <br />to each member of the Division of Fire of the City a cost of living adjustment for <br />the year 1975 in the sum. of $681.46 payable as follows: <br /> <br />(a) A uniform allowance adjustment in the amount of Two Hundred <br /> Dollars ($200°00) payable May 9, 1975. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />The balance of such cost of living adjustment shall be payable <br />in two (2) installments of $240.73 each, on the 1st day of <br />August and November, 1975 to those members of the Division of <br />Fire employed on the date of such payment. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Ail cost of living adjustment payments provided for by the <br />within Ordinance shall be made from the Federal Revenue Sharing Fund. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br /> <br /> Vfgg ~r e'~ id en~z// <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
