ORDINANCE NO. 67-75 BY: Messrs~ Brockman, Chinnock, Graber, Magnotto, McBride, Sinagra, Usher AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Paragraph (b) of Section 109.02 of the Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to provide for posting of notice of special meetings of public bodies of the City. WHEREAS~, Ohio Revised Code 121.22, Paragraph (F) prOvides that every public body establish by rule a reasonable method whereby any person may determine the time and place of all regularly scheduled meetings and the time, place and purpose of all special meetings, and WHEREAS, this Council determines that the posting of such notices in the office of the Clerk of Council and those posting places established in Section 107.01 of the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood is a reasonable method as contemplated by the aforementioned Paragraph (F) of Ohio Revised Code 121.22, and WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department and for the further reason that the City of Lakewood should come into compliance with the applicable State law at the earliest possible time; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That Paragraph (b) of Section 109~02 of the Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood now reading as follows: 109..02 PUBLIC NOTIFICATION (b) Special Meetings Notification of-any spec'ial meeting of the public bodies designated in Section 109.01 hereof shall be given to any news media requesting such notification twenty-four (24) hours prior to the time of such meeting. This notification shall include the time and place and purpose of the special meeting. shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 109.02 PUBLIC NOTIFICATION (b) Special Meetings Notification of any special meeting of the public bodies designa'ted in Section 109.01 hereof shall be given to any news media requesting such notification twenty-four (24) hours prior to t'he time of such meeting. This notification shall include the time and place and purpose of the special meeting. Such notice shall also be posted in the office of the Clerk of Council at City Hall and those posting places established in Section 107.01 of this Code as soon as practicable after the scheduling of such special meeting. Section 2.
