ORDINANCE NO. 67-75 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs~ Brockman, Chinnock, Graber, <br /> Magnotto, McBride, Sinagra, Usher <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Paragraph (b) of Section 109.02 of <br />the Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to <br />provide for posting of notice of special meetings of public bodies of the City. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~, Ohio Revised Code 121.22, Paragraph (F) prOvides that every <br />public body establish by rule a reasonable method whereby any person may determine <br />the time and place of all regularly scheduled meetings and the time, place and <br />purpose of all special meetings, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council determines that the posting of such notices in <br />the office of the Clerk of Council and those posting places established in <br />Section 107.01 of the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood is a reasonable <br />method as contemplated by the aforementioned Paragraph (F) of Ohio Revised Code <br />121.22, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br />the usual daily operation of a municipal department and for the further reason that <br />the City of Lakewood should come into compliance with the applicable State law at <br />the earliest possible time; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Paragraph (b) of Section 109~02 of the Administrative <br />Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood now reading as follows: <br /> <br />109..02 PUBLIC NOTIFICATION <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Special Meetings <br />Notification of-any spec'ial meeting of the public bodies designated <br />in Section 109.01 hereof shall be given to any news media requesting <br />such notification twenty-four (24) hours prior to the time of such <br />meeting. This notification shall include the time and place and <br />purpose of the special meeting. <br /> <br />shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />109.02 PUBLIC NOTIFICATION <br /> <br /> (b) Special Meetings <br /> Notification of any special meeting of the public bodies designa'ted <br /> in Section 109.01 hereof shall be given to any news media requesting <br /> such notification twenty-four (24) hours prior to t'he time of such <br /> meeting. This notification shall include the time and place and <br /> purpose of the special meeting. Such notice shall also be posted <br /> in the office of the Clerk of Council at City Hall and those <br /> posting places established in Section 107.01 of this Code as soon <br /> as practicable after the scheduling of such special meeting. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
