WHarF, S, the Municipal Court Act, Revised Code Section 1~O1.33, provides that the legislaZive authority of a municipality shall fix' the compensation of a probation officer appointed by the Judge of a municipal Court, and ~ ~ ~.MERF~S~ this Ordinance constututes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department in that in the interest of public service, welfare and safety~ it is necessary to fix the compensation of the said probation officer and direct the time and method of tm,vment thereof; new~ therefore~ HE IT ORDAINED BY T~ COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IAK~OOD~ STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the compensation of the probation officer of the Lakewood ~Mnicipal Court is hereof/ fi~ed at Ten ~l~ousand Eight H~ndred Dollars ($10.800.00) per annum effective }~rch l, 1~78. ~ Section 2. That the Director of Finance of the City of Lakewood is hereby authorized and directed to pay said compensation of the probation cfficer as herein fixed, from the City Treasury in semi-monthly installments or in e~ual installments every two weeks. Section 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons tared in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-tkirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediabe2y upon its adoption and approval by the Nmyor, and Section I of Ordinance No. ~2-?? adopted September 6, l~?? and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith~ shall be and are hereby repealed.
