ORDINANCE NO. 24-78 BY: <br /> <br />Messrs. Salmon, Usher, Brown, <br />Chinnock, Magnotto, McBride <br /> <br />AN ~-~GENUY ORDINANCE fixiug the compensation of the Clerk of the Lakewood <br />}~ncipal Court, the time and method of payment thereof and repealing <br />Section I of Ordinance No. 25-77 adopted }~y 16, 1977. <br /> <br />~MEREAS, the Municipal Court Act, Revised Code SectionlgO1.31provides <br />that the legislative authority of this municipality shall fix the annual <br />salary of the Clerk of Courts, and <br /> <br />%MEREAS, said Act Further provides that the compensation of the Clerk shall <br />be patd three-fifths from the City Treasury and two-fifths from the Treasury <br />of the County in which the city is located~ and, <br /> <br />P~{EREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br />the usual dai/y operation of a municipal department in that in the interest <br />of public service, welfare and safety, it is necessary to fix the compensation <br />of the Clerk and d~rect the time and method ofpayment thereof; now~ therefor% <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BT THE COL~CIL OF THE CITY OF IAK~,~OOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the compensation of the Clerk of the Lakewood Municipal Court <br />is hereby fixed at .J;2h.O00.O0 per annum effective l,~rch l, 1978. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Director of Finance of the City of Lakewood is hereby <br />authorized and directed to pay three-fifths of the compensation of the <br />Clerk as herein fixed, from the City Treasury in semi-monthly insta_13ments <br />or in equal installments every two weeks. <br /> <br />Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for <br />the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all Members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force imnediate]y upon its adoption and approval by <br />the }~yor and Section I of Ordiuance No. 25-?? adopted ~y 16, 1977 and <br />all other ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith, shall <br />be and are hereby repeale4. <br /> <br /> <br />
