ORDINANCE NO. 81-78 <br /> <br />BY:. Messrs. Brockman, Chinnock, Brown, Magnotto, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Mrs. Wendling <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to provide allowance of cost of transportation to <br />employees of the City, commencing July 1, 1978. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the <br />usual daily operation of a municipal department in that in the interest of <br />public service, welfare and safety it is desirable to provide an allowance <br />of cost of transportation to employees of the City; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE. COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OttlO: <br /> <br />Section 1. Commencing July I, 1978, in addition to such salary or compen- <br />sat~ion as may be provided by any other ordinance, there shall be paid the <br />sum of $80.00 per month to the individual full-Lime employees holding the <br />positions hereinafter designated, and who are not furnished with city-owned <br />vehicles for use in the performance of the duties of their position: <br /> <br />A. Building Commissioner. and Building Inspectors; <br />B. Visiting nurses, in the Division of Health; <br />C. Sanitary Officers in the Division of Health <br />D. Sidewalk Inspectors, while devoting time to <br /> inspection of sidewalks, and <br />E. Health Commissioner in the Division of Health <br />F. Planning Director <br />G. (;utreach Workers (5) <br /> <br />Section 2. Comrnencing July 1, 1978, in addition to such salary or compensation <br />as may be provided by any oLher ordinance, there shall be paid the sum of <br />$40.00 per month to the individual part-time employees holdin9 the positions <br />hereinafLer designated, and who are not furnished with city-owned vehicles <br />for use in the performance of the duties of their position: <br /> <br />A. Home Health Ai~b (1) <br /> <br />Section 3. Commencing July 1 , 19~1, in addition to such salary or compensa- <br />tion as may be provided by any other ordinance, there shall be paid to <br />those employees of the City who are required to use their personal auto- <br />mobile in carryin9 out their duties on behalf of the City of Lakewood, other <br />than those City employees set forth in Section 1 of this ordinance, a mileage <br />allowance of $0. 12 per mile; provided however, that such personal car use <br />shall be approved by the appropriate department head and provided further <br />that, when applicable, such allowance shall not exceed the cost of round <br />trip coach air fare for such trip. <br /> <br />Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all inembers elected Lo Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor and Ordinance 18-74 adopted March 4, 1974 and all other ordinances or <br />parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith shall be and the same are hereby <br />repealed. <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
