NO. 30-79 <br /> <br />BY: Salmon, Wendling, Brown, Chinnock, <br /> Magnotto, McBride <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE Fixing the compensati'or~ of the Clerk of the <br />L~*~ewood Municipal Court, the time and method of payment thereof and repeal in9 <br />~:'"tion 1 of Ordinance No. 24-78 adopted March 6, 1978. <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, the Hunicipal Court Act, Revised Code Section 1901.31 provides <br /> the legislative authority of this municipality .shall fix the annual <br />~"~ary of the Clerk of Courts, and <br /> <br /> WIIEREAS, said Ac~ further provides that the compensation of the Clerk <br />~!,all be paid three-fifths from the City Treasury and two-fifths from the <br />~"easury of the County in which the city is located, and, <br /> <br /> WltEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br />usual daily operation of a municipal department in that in the interest <br />~ublic serv'ce, welfare and safety, it is necessary to fix the compensation <br />,'he Clerk and direct the time and method of payment thereof; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the compensation of the Clerk of. the Lakewood Municipal <br /> is hereby fixed at $25,680.00 per annum effective March 1, 1979. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Director of Finance of the City of Lakewood is <br />"..,.'by authorized and directed to pay three-fifths of the compensation of the <br />C:~',-k as herein fixed, from the City Treasur'y in semi'-monthly installments or <br />"-' ::,"~ insl ~ ~, ..... ,~:r; every two weeks. <br /> <br /> Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br /> !.!m reason~ ,~'~tcd in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the <br />~;"maLive vot:e of two-thirds of all Members,elected to Council, it shall <br /> effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by <br /> !'!ayor and Section 1 of Ordinance No. 24-78 adopted March 6, 1978 and all <br /> ordinance.~ or' parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith, shall be and <br /> l~ereby repealed. <br /> <br /> <br />
