OltZ)INAN(~ I~; 45-79 <br /> <br />}~: Chinnock, McBride, salmon, <br /> Wendling, Brockman, Brown <br /> <br /> AN~CYORDINANCE amending Paragraph (a) of Section <br />339.02 of the Traffic Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />Lakewood relating to street restrictions for ccrm~rcial and heavy <br />vehicles. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes a~ emergency measure <br />providing for the ir~nediate preservation of the public health, safety <br />and welfare and the usual daily operation of a municipal department; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE~, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Paragraph (a) of Section 339.02 of the <br />Traffic Code of. the Codified Ordinances of the City of L~kewood now <br />reading as follows: <br /> <br />339.02 CERTAIN ~ RESTRI~; SIGNS; PERMITS; BONDS <br /> <br /> (a) Except for necessary delivery.of materials or supplies <br />to premises abutting any such streets, in'..which case the vehicle <br />will proceed by a route whichwill follow to or from the nearest <br />intersection of the following specially named streets, no vehicle <br />.or vehicle with trailer or trailers, each or either unit of which <br />weighs in excess of six tons, including the weight of the unit., <br />shall be propelled or driven upon or over any street in the City, <br />excepting Highland Avenue from Clifton Boulevard to BereaRoad; <br />Detroit Avenue; Bridge Approach; ~%dison Avenue; Warren Road from <br />Detroit Avenue to Franklin Boulevard; and BereaRoad from Highland <br />Avenue to Fischer Road. The Mayor as Director of Public Safety <br />'is authorized to place signs stating that no such vehicle or unit <br /> in excess of six tons in weight as herein provided is allowed to <br /> be propelled or driven over the streets within the.City, excepting <br /> the streets herein named. However, the provisions of this sub- <br /> section shall not apply to vans of moving and storage companies <br /> engaged in the business of moving household furniture and <br /> appliances over the following streets: Bunts Road; Warren Road <br /> southerly from Framklin.
