OltZ)INAN(~ I~; 45-79 }~: Chinnock, McBride, salmon, Wendling, Brockman, Brown AN~CYORDINANCE amending Paragraph (a) of Section 339.02 of the Traffic Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood relating to street restrictions for ccrm~rcial and heavy vehicles. WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes a~ emergency measure providing for the ir~nediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE~, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That Paragraph (a) of Section 339.02 of the Traffic Code of. the Codified Ordinances of the City of L~kewood now reading as follows: 339.02 CERTAIN ~ RESTRI~; SIGNS; PERMITS; BONDS (a) Except for necessary delivery.of materials or supplies to premises abutting any such streets, in'..which case the vehicle will proceed by a route whichwill follow to or from the nearest intersection of the following specially named streets, no vehicle .or vehicle with trailer or trailers, each or either unit of which weighs in excess of six tons, including the weight of the unit., shall be propelled or driven upon or over any street in the City, excepting Highland Avenue from Clifton Boulevard to BereaRoad; Detroit Avenue; Bridge Approach; ~%dison Avenue; Warren Road from Detroit Avenue to Franklin Boulevard; and BereaRoad from Highland Avenue to Fischer Road. The Mayor as Director of Public Safety 'is authorized to place signs stating that no such vehicle or unit in excess of six tons in weight as herein provided is allowed to be propelled or driven over the streets within the.City, excepting the streets herein named. However, the provisions of this sub- section shall not apply to vans of moving and storage companies engaged in the business of moving household furniture and appliances over the following streets: Bunts Road; Warren Road southerly from Framklin.
