ORDINANCE NO. 84-79 BY:Brockman, Brown, Chinnock, McBride, McNally, Salmon, Wendling AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to make additional appropriations for expenditures of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 1979. WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate preservation of the public property, health and safety and to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That there be appropriated from the General Fund: O199000 Transfers $446,303 Section 2. That there be appropriated from the State Highway Fund 15,000 Section 3. That there be appropriated from the Street Construction, Maintenance and Repair Fund 255,000 Section 4. That there be appropriated from the Winterhurst Fund 50,000 Section 5. That there be appropriated from the Office on Aging Title VII 11,000 Section 6. That there be appropriated from the Office on Aging Title III 150,000 Section 7. That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby authorized to draw checks upon the City depositoriesfor the amounts appropriated in this ordinance whenever claims are presented properly approved by the head of the department for which the indebtedness i.s incurred, providing the President of Council shall approve all claims of the City Council. Section 8. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble, and provided it receives the affin~ative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to the City CounCil, it shall take effect 'and be in force immediately Upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
