ORDINANCE NO. 84-79 <br /> <br />BY:Brockman, Brown, Chinnock, McBride, <br /> McNally, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to make additional appropriations for expenditures <br />of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, for the fiscal year ending <br />December 31, 1979. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate preservation <br />of the public property, health and safety and to provide for the usual <br />daily operation of municipal departments; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That there be appropriated from the General Fund: <br /> <br />O199000 Transfers $446,303 <br /> <br />Section 2. That there be appropriated from the <br /> State Highway Fund <br /> <br />15,000 <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />That there be appropriated from the <br />Street Construction, Maintenance and <br />Repair Fund <br /> <br />255,000 <br /> <br />Section 4. That there be appropriated from the <br /> Winterhurst Fund <br /> <br />50,000 <br /> <br />Section 5. That there be appropriated from the <br /> Office on Aging Title VII <br /> <br />11,000 <br /> <br />Section 6. That there be appropriated from the <br /> Office on Aging Title III <br /> <br />150,000 <br /> <br />Section 7. That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby authorized <br />to draw checks upon the City depositoriesfor the amounts appropriated <br />in this ordinance whenever claims are presented properly approved by the <br />head of the department for which the indebtedness i.s incurred, providing <br />the President of Council shall approve all claims of the City Council. <br /> <br />Section 8. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble, and provided it receives <br />the affin~ative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to the City <br />CounCil, it shall take effect 'and be in force immediately Upon its <br />adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br /> <br />
