ORDINANCE NO. 27-80 <br /> <br />BY: Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, McBride, <br /> Salmon, Wendling, Brown <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizlng and directing the Mayor to <br />enter into an Option Agreement with James and Marcia Pfaff to purchase <br />real property located at 1355 Sloane Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council authorized the purchase of this property <br />for the purpose of establishing a municipal park contingent on the approval <br />of the City of Lakewood's 1980 Community Development Block Grant Application <br />by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department and for the imme- <br />diate preservation of the public safety and welfare; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into an option agreement with James and Marcia Pfaff to purchase <br />real property located at 1355 Sloane Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio, said option agree- <br />ment to be substantially in the form as set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto <br />and made a part hereof as if fully rewritten herein. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby ~uthorized <br />and directed to pay to James and Marcia Pfaff the sum of one dollar (~1~00) ~! <br />in consideration of the grant of this exclusive option to the City of L~wood'~ ............. <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it <br />shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval <br />by the Mayor; otherwise it shall take effect at the earliest period allowed <br />by law. <br /> <br /> '? /~ ~e~ideht- ~ ' <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
