ORDINANCE NO. 39-80 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Gallagher, Graham <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE exempting the Regional Transit Authority <br />from the prohibitions of Section 901.18 of the Streets and Public Service Code <br />of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood in order to permit the <br />placement and/or construction of nine (9) additional bus shelters at designated <br />locations. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />0HIO: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Council of the City of Lakewood hereby exempts <br />the Regional Transit Authority from the prohibitions of Section 901.18 of the <br />Streets and Public Service Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />Lakewood in order to allow for the construction and/or placement of nine (9) <br />additional bus shelters as specified by shelter type, pursuant to design <br />graphics attached, hereto, on Exhibits A, B and C and incorporated by <br />reference herein, at the following locations provided that the conditions and <br />the permit procedure requirements, as specified in Section 2 of Ordinance No. <br />83-78, adopted October 5, 1978, are met: <br /> <br />TYPE <br /> <br />REPLACEMENT OR NEW <br /> <br />LOCATION <br /> <br />M Replacement <br />S Replacement <br />S Replacement <br />M Replacement <br />S New <br />S New <br /> <br />S New <br />L Replacement <br /> <br />S New <br /> <br />Fry/Clifton (eastbound) <br />Cove/Clifton (eastbound) <br />French/Clifton (eastbo~la~) .... <br />Warren/Clifton (eastbound) <br />Bunts/Detroit (westbound) <br />Rockway(Beck Ctr.)/Detroit <br />(eastbound) <br />Bunts/Detroit (southbound) <br />Lakewood Park Entrance <br />(southbound) <br />Detroit at Barton Ctr. <br />(westbound) <br /> <br /> Section 2, That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all mentbers elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor; otherwise it shall take effect at the earliest perlod allowed by law. <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
